I love fall in St. George

I love fall time in St.George!! It is cooling off, but definitely not too cold, just right. I love the rich fall colors and the warm smells. We (mostly my husband) made some fun decorations for our house and the pictures are coming soon, so stay tuned. I finally decided that it is time to start focusing on making my house a home. I am slowly working on it, but it takes time. I know, I have been married over a year now, but it takes time to get used to a new house and figure out what you want to do. The good news is that my husband has very good taste and is willing to help me with my projects!! :) I'll get some pics up soon.....

It's been a while...

I decided that I stink at blogging. I love to read everyone's blog and I get so mad when they don't update it. Then I realized that I am the worst at keeping my blog updated, so I am going to try to be better at it. I also am going to be better at taking my camera on my many adventures so that I can share them with you. Here is a little update on the past 3 months!! :) I made it through the end of school and had a great year!!! I was so excited to have a break, but decided to teach summer school for a month. It actually worked out perfectly because I had to move classrooms and finally made it out of the portable for the 2nd time and into a normal classroom. Travis had to work out of town for a few months, so that was kind of a bummer. We have done a lot of fishing and some camping through out the summer. We also celebrated our 1st anniversary!! I can't believe that it has been a year already. We spent our anniversary up at the cabin on Cedar Mountain and it was so relaxing and beautiful. Now school has started and I am back in crazy mode. I have 28 kids this year and I am sure there are more to come. My class is large, but they are hilarious and I love them!! I think that this year is going to be great!! There are a lot of things that happened in the past 3 months, but it is so long ago that it isn't even worth blogging. Wish me luck on another school year and the many adventures ahead. I really will try to keep this blog going!! Thanks for caring!!

Count down until the end of the school year...

Only 9 more days until summer, but who is counting.......ME!! This year has been good, challenging, a learning experience, hard, and rewarding all at the same time. I am going to get back to blogging, but the next 9 days (school days that is) are a little jam packed, so bare with me until I make it through the year. Hope you all are well and everything is good!!

Happy Easter!!

I am trying to be better at this blogging thing, but I have noticed that I am not so good at posting pictures. That is my new goal. I am so awful at taking the camera, and then when I do take the camera, I forget to use it. I am so sad because we have done some pretty exciting and fun things that I don't have any pictures for. I guess that this can be a new goal of mine. (along with many others) Well, it is official, I am another year older and I'm not very happy about it!! I can't believe how fast time goes by. I had a great birthday thanks to my family and friends. My cute husband got me some GREAT surprises and took me out for an amazing dinner. My family up north sent me some cute cards and definitely showed that they cared. My friends at school were great and made my birthday extra special!!! I had a fantastic meal with my In-Laws!! We had a meal to die for!! Thanks to everyone for making me feel loved and for making my birthday a great one!! Now, it is Easter time and I seriously can't believe that it is already April. Only 2 more months and I am out for Summer break!! (yes I am counting down the days) Anyways, I just wanted to wish everyonoe a very Happy Easter!! I have a four day weekend, so I am going to go have some fun!! I hope that you all keep the true meaning of Easter in mind and think about all of the blessing that you have in your life!! I know that I have a lot to be thankful for!!

Spring Break

I had a great spring break with a lot of relaxing. The first weekend I headed up north to visit my family. We had a fun weekend and just hung out together. I got to see my best friend Marnie and have a little girl time. On Monday and Tuesday I hung out with my cute husband and had a blast. We got a lot done and even PAINTED our bedroom. I have pictures of before, but I am waiting to take the after pictures when we hang our decorations up, so stay tuned. The rest of the week I worked on some projects, spent time with family, and just enjoyed being stress free!! This week has been a little bit crazy at school... the kids are always wild when they come back from a break. I am looking forward to the weekend and hopefully my sister-in-law will have her baby. (I can't wait!!) Have a great weekend!!

Wish me luck...

I need all the luck that I can get!! IT IS SEP (parent conference) WEEK!! I have a lot of fantastic parents in my class this year, but there are always a few that give me a run for my money. This week is probably the most stressful week of teaching. I want to make sure that the parents know exactly how their child is doing and the things that their child has been working on and are successful at. The only problem is... there isn't a perfect kid and I usually have one thing that they need to work on. Sometimes this goes over really well, and other times...not so well. I also am a maniac at home and my husband isn't handling it well. I think that if you haven't been in the classroom a lot OR if you aren't a teacher, you don't totally understand the stress of this week and ALL of the work and time that goes into these conferences. Well I just thought that I would vent a little so that I feel better and ready for the week!! I hope that everyone has a fantasic week!! Good luck!!

Busy..

We had a busy and long January. I got a chance to go and visit my niece in Arizona. She is so adorable and I fell in love with her at first sight. My brother and sister-in-law are such good parents and love this baby more than anything in the world. It was fun to go down and see them!! I now have 2 sister-in-laws that are currently pregnant!!! Trav has two sisters that will be having a baby this year. One is due in March and one is due at the end of July. We are so excited for them and can't wait to have all of these babies running around. !! Then, last weekend I passed Hunter's Safety, so now I am an offical hunter!! It will be so much fun to go hunting with my husband and maybe actually shoot something. (I know, I should have done hunter's safety when I was like 10, but better late than never, right?). My husband is still amazing. He is my best friend and loves and supports me even when I am a pain in the butt. We have so much fun together and I love every second of it. I am still teaching 2nd grade and love my class, but this year is kind of dragging on. I think that it is because of the cold weather, so I am hoping for warm wheather soon. Well, that is about all that has been going on around here. We are just loving life and enjoying the ride!!

Just a few thoughts....

I went to the temple yesterday to watch my cousin Kyson and his fiance Jessica get sealed for all time and eternity. It was a neat experience to watch them, but it had an even deeper meaning since they were getting sealed in the same room that me and Travis got sealed in. I haven't been in that room since we got married and it was so nice to take in the moment and and really reflect on that day that we got married. During the sealing yesterday, the spirit was so strong!! Through out the day I was on a rollercoater of emotions. I wasn't feeling very good and I needed to make a soup for the luncheon. My cute husband helped me all day long even though I was yelling at him most of the day. I finally snapped out of my bad mood and felt horrible that I treated him that way, he was truly helping me and I couldn't have gotten everything ready without him. As we were packing up to go to Enterprise for the rest of the day, I sat there and remembered the feelings that I had in the temple and I just looked at my husband and couldn't believe that I was married to this amazing man. I just kept thinking about how lucky I am to have him in my life and to always have my best friend by my side. We spent the rest of the day with Trav's family. We ate a lot of goodies, played games, and had a great time!! I seriously love his family!!! They are so good to me and Trav!! I couldn't ask for better in-laws!! Anyways, I just wanted to share my weekend, hope you had an amazing one too!!
