And the baby is....

We went to our ultra sound this morning and had the most amazing experience. We were both in awe when we saw our little baby moving around. It makes things a little bit more real and definitely gives me a sense of relief when I know that things are progressing well and the baby is ok. We are happy to announce that we will be having a BOY in March. I am still measuring a little bit big, so we will either have a baby a little bit sooner than expected or else it will be a really big boy!! As long as it comes to us healthy, we will take it either way!!! My heart seriously can't stop racing and I can't wait to hold the little man in my arms!!!

Guess What...BIG news...

WE'RE PREGNANT!! Baby Staheli is due on March 15th!! We are so excited we can hardly wait! I've dreamt about this my whole life and I can't believe that it is actually here! Travis is just as excited (maybe a little more, if that is possible) as me! He is definitely being a trooper these past couple of months since I have been pretty sick. Good news is that the nausea is slowly easing up, so hopefully I am at the end of that stage. Maybe this will help me blog more! I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, so I will let you know how that goes!

So, It's Almost Been a Year...

WOW!!! Time really does fly and I am really horrible at blogging!! I guess my new goal is going to be once a year!!! ha ha just kidding!!! We have had a lot of fun this year along with a lot of trails, but our marriage just seems to keep getting stronger. We have been on a lot of adventures and have made many memories. I'm not going to try to tell you everything that has happened in the last 8 months, but I will give you a short update. My brother Adam and his wife Robyn welcomed a darling baby girl into this world!! They named her Erin and she has beautiful red hair and is growing up so fast. Speaking of growing, my brother Brett's little girl is to die for. She is 1 now and is definitely keeping Brett and Britt busy. They love her so much and are enjoying the happiness she brings into their lives. 2 of Trav's sisters had baby girls who are spoiled with love and attention. It is so much fun to have lots of little ones running around. Trav and I are getting ready to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and it seems like just yesterday that we got married. We are having so much fun!!! We are working hard on our yard and trying to get our backyard looking nice. This year we put up a block wall to get some privacy, put in a a sprinkling system, and have planted 2 nut trees!! We hope to get some grass and maybe even a garden in next year!! I have discovered how much work, time, and money landscaping takes. We are really working hard and I think that we have got a lot accomplished. Life is good and we are enjoying the ride. I haven't been good at taking pictures either, but I hope to get better at that as well. I'm glad I am back in the blogging world!! Oh, only 12 more days until school is out....I can't believe that I have been teaching for 5 years now... and I am moving back up to 3rd grade again for next year!!!

I love fall in St. George

I love fall time in St.George!! It is cooling off, but definitely not too cold, just right. I love the rich fall colors and the warm smells. We (mostly my husband) made some fun decorations for our house and the pictures are coming soon, so stay tuned. I finally decided that it is time to start focusing on making my house a home. I am slowly working on it, but it takes time. I know, I have been married over a year now, but it takes time to get used to a new house and figure out what you want to do. The good news is that my husband has very good taste and is willing to help me with my projects!! :) I'll get some pics up soon.....

It's been a while...

I decided that I stink at blogging. I love to read everyone's blog and I get so mad when they don't update it. Then I realized that I am the worst at keeping my blog updated, so I am going to try to be better at it. I also am going to be better at taking my camera on my many adventures so that I can share them with you. Here is a little update on the past 3 months!! :) I made it through the end of school and had a great year!!! I was so excited to have a break, but decided to teach summer school for a month. It actually worked out perfectly because I had to move classrooms and finally made it out of the portable for the 2nd time and into a normal classroom. Travis had to work out of town for a few months, so that was kind of a bummer. We have done a lot of fishing and some camping through out the summer. We also celebrated our 1st anniversary!! I can't believe that it has been a year already. We spent our anniversary up at the cabin on Cedar Mountain and it was so relaxing and beautiful. Now school has started and I am back in crazy mode. I have 28 kids this year and I am sure there are more to come. My class is large, but they are hilarious and I love them!! I think that this year is going to be great!! There are a lot of things that happened in the past 3 months, but it is so long ago that it isn't even worth blogging. Wish me luck on another school year and the many adventures ahead. I really will try to keep this blog going!! Thanks for caring!!

Count down until the end of the school year...

Only 9 more days until summer, but who is counting.......ME!! This year has been good, challenging, a learning experience, hard, and rewarding all at the same time. I am going to get back to blogging, but the next 9 days (school days that is) are a little jam packed, so bare with me until I make it through the year. Hope you all are well and everything is good!!

Happy Easter!!

I am trying to be better at this blogging thing, but I have noticed that I am not so good at posting pictures. That is my new goal. I am so awful at taking the camera, and then when I do take the camera, I forget to use it. I am so sad because we have done some pretty exciting and fun things that I don't have any pictures for. I guess that this can be a new goal of mine. (along with many others) Well, it is official, I am another year older and I'm not very happy about it!! I can't believe how fast time goes by. I had a great birthday thanks to my family and friends. My cute husband got me some GREAT surprises and took me out for an amazing dinner. My family up north sent me some cute cards and definitely showed that they cared. My friends at school were great and made my birthday extra special!!! I had a fantastic meal with my In-Laws!! We had a meal to die for!! Thanks to everyone for making me feel loved and for making my birthday a great one!! Now, it is Easter time and I seriously can't believe that it is already April. Only 2 more months and I am out for Summer break!! (yes I am counting down the days) Anyways, I just wanted to wish everyonoe a very Happy Easter!! I have a four day weekend, so I am going to go have some fun!! I hope that you all keep the true meaning of Easter in mind and think about all of the blessing that you have in your life!! I know that I have a lot to be thankful for!!

Spring Break

I had a great spring break with a lot of relaxing. The first weekend I headed up north to visit my family. We had a fun weekend and just hung out together. I got to see my best friend Marnie and have a little girl time. On Monday and Tuesday I hung out with my cute husband and had a blast. We got a lot done and even PAINTED our bedroom. I have pictures of before, but I am waiting to take the after pictures when we hang our decorations up, so stay tuned. The rest of the week I worked on some projects, spent time with family, and just enjoyed being stress free!! This week has been a little bit crazy at school... the kids are always wild when they come back from a break. I am looking forward to the weekend and hopefully my sister-in-law will have her baby. (I can't wait!!) Have a great weekend!!

Wish me luck...

I need all the luck that I can get!! IT IS SEP (parent conference) WEEK!! I have a lot of fantastic parents in my class this year, but there are always a few that give me a run for my money. This week is probably the most stressful week of teaching. I want to make sure that the parents know exactly how their child is doing and the things that their child has been working on and are successful at. The only problem is... there isn't a perfect kid and I usually have one thing that they need to work on. Sometimes this goes over really well, and other times...not so well. I also am a maniac at home and my husband isn't handling it well. I think that if you haven't been in the classroom a lot OR if you aren't a teacher, you don't totally understand the stress of this week and ALL of the work and time that goes into these conferences. Well I just thought that I would vent a little so that I feel better and ready for the week!! I hope that everyone has a fantasic week!! Good luck!!

Busy..

We had a busy and long January. I got a chance to go and visit my niece in Arizona. She is so adorable and I fell in love with her at first sight. My brother and sister-in-law are such good parents and love this baby more than anything in the world. It was fun to go down and see them!! I now have 2 sister-in-laws that are currently pregnant!!! Trav has two sisters that will be having a baby this year. One is due in March and one is due at the end of July. We are so excited for them and can't wait to have all of these babies running around. !! Then, last weekend I passed Hunter's Safety, so now I am an offical hunter!! It will be so much fun to go hunting with my husband and maybe actually shoot something. (I know, I should have done hunter's safety when I was like 10, but better late than never, right?). My husband is still amazing. He is my best friend and loves and supports me even when I am a pain in the butt. We have so much fun together and I love every second of it. I am still teaching 2nd grade and love my class, but this year is kind of dragging on. I think that it is because of the cold weather, so I am hoping for warm wheather soon. Well, that is about all that has been going on around here. We are just loving life and enjoying the ride!!

Just a few thoughts....

I went to the temple yesterday to watch my cousin Kyson and his fiance Jessica get sealed for all time and eternity. It was a neat experience to watch them, but it had an even deeper meaning since they were getting sealed in the same room that me and Travis got sealed in. I haven't been in that room since we got married and it was so nice to take in the moment and and really reflect on that day that we got married. During the sealing yesterday, the spirit was so strong!! Through out the day I was on a rollercoater of emotions. I wasn't feeling very good and I needed to make a soup for the luncheon. My cute husband helped me all day long even though I was yelling at him most of the day. I finally snapped out of my bad mood and felt horrible that I treated him that way, he was truly helping me and I couldn't have gotten everything ready without him. As we were packing up to go to Enterprise for the rest of the day, I sat there and remembered the feelings that I had in the temple and I just looked at my husband and couldn't believe that I was married to this amazing man. I just kept thinking about how lucky I am to have him in my life and to always have my best friend by my side. We spent the rest of the day with Trav's family. We ate a lot of goodies, played games, and had a great time!! I seriously love his family!!! They are so good to me and Trav!! I couldn't ask for better in-laws!! Anyways, I just wanted to share my weekend, hope you had an amazing one too!!

My husband is amazing...

I just wanted to tell you what an amazing man that I married. I have been kind of a pain this past week and haven't been grateful for anything. I am so glad that I have an understanding husband who is my best friend and can put up with me during my maniac moments. Last week I came home from a hectic day and he had the house clean, the laundry going, and an amazing meal all ready for me!! He does things like this all of the time and is always so thoughtful. I just want him to know how thankful I am to have him in my life, he makes me so happy!!! I have never felt so comfortable and loved. I am so glad that I have a hard working man who is so loveable. I LOVE YOU TRAV!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO!!!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!

Well, I know that this is crazy, but I actually think that we are going to get some snow down here in St. George!!! It is raining like crazy and it is already snowing up by my house!! I love when it snows in December. Christmas just doesn't seem complete without some snow. Well, I have made a new goal in life..... I am going to TRY to post something on my blog at least once a week!! I have officially bought and wrapped ALL of my Christmas presents!! I am DONE!! I seriously can't believe it!! I love getting that out of the way so that I don't stress about last minute things. I do need to get my neighbors a little something...Any ideas? Lately, Trav has been focused on catching a cougar!! He is really enjoying it and can't wait to catch one of his own. He hasn't ever hunted for cougars before, so he is learning a lot and enjoying the time spent with family and friends. We went to see Blindside over the weekend and I really liked it. I give it two thumbs up, so if you're in the mood for a feel good movie, that would be my pick!! Other than that, we haven't really done anything exciting. However, I noticed on my blog that I never told you about my cute nephew that got baptized about a month ago. I know, I am terrible at keeping things in order. Jace got baptized and confirmed and we are all so proud of him. Trav got to be a witness and got to be in the circle when Jace received the Holy Ghost. It is such a good feeling to watch my husband take part in these amazing experiences. His eyes were definately feeled with tears of joy that day!! We love Jace so much and I have loved getting to know him this passed year!! He is a good example to all of those around him!! WE LOVE YOU JACE!! I think that is about all that has been going on this past month. I believe that you are fully updated now. I will TRY my best to keep you up-to-date!!

For all eternity...

This weekend we got the opportunity to go to the Manti Temple and see Jon, Jessie, and MyMy get sealed together for all time and eternity. (the picture isn't of the Manti Temple, but you get the idea) It was so special and such an amazing experience. Everyone in the sealing room felt the spirit, happiness, and joy that they had as they were sealed together. I am so thankful for the church in my life and for a loving husband who took me to the temple so that we can be together for ever. Jon, Jessie, and Mylee- thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. We love you and are so proud of you!!

Hunting Season...

Well, I am trying to update you on what we have been doing the past 3 months. Hunting season was going on, so we went camping, four wheeling, and had a lot of fun. We spent every weekend camping and Travis went out almost every night. He finally got his deer and it is a crazy one. If you look close in the pictures, you will notice that it has three horns and yes, they are all separate. Now the deer hunt is over, but the cougar hunt just started so I will have to let you know how it goes.

I know that it has been a while...

Life is crazy, but full of so much fun and excitment. Ok, let me start with the wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better day or for anything else. My wedding began early in the morning with a trip to the hair dresser and then off to the temple because we were the first sealing of the day. We were so nervous and excited at the same time. I felt the excitement go through my body the minute I saw Travis inside the temple. We had a great sealing where we were surrounded by family and friends. When we walked out of the temple it was so comforting to see all of the people that I loved waiting for us to celebrate our marriage. After a lot of hugs and A LOT of picutres we quickly got some food and then we were off to Coral Canyon Clubhouse to decorate for the reception. I didn't get much sleep the night before, so I hurried and took a quick nap before we had MORE pictures and the reception. I have to thank a lot of people for helping me with my wedding. First, Marnie, my best friends in the whole world, and Jan, her mother who is like my second mom, they were absolutely amazing and gave me so much support and love. They decorated my wedding and it was truly amazing. I seriously couldn't believe how much time and effort that they put into my wedding. Not only did they decorate, but they were with me the entire day to help with my needs and made me truly feel like a princess on this special day. I also need to thank my family who were a lot of help and made my wedding day very special. I got to have both of my brothers there, my parents along with cousins, grandmas, aunts, and uncles. I am so lucky to have such great friends and family that they would travel down to St. George for my wedding. I also have wonderful in-laws who helped me every step of the way. They were always willing to help. We were lucky to have all of Trav's sisters there and their husbands. It made us feel truly loved!! I know that I have a lot more people to thank, but that is why we have thank you cards!! :) I am so happy and so in love and I am excited for our future together!! If you want to see a few pics from my wedding, just click on Tiffany D Photography under my favorites list. She has a few pictures up for you to enjoy!!

I only posted one picture, but there are more to come. This picture was taken by Tiffany D Photography.
